Modus Operandi Cellars

Modus Operandi Cellars

Modus Operandi Cellars was founded in 2004 with just 8 barrels of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Modus specializes in high impact and world class wines and is the experimental brand of Winemaker Jason Moore. The wines have been part of a historical State Dinner at the White House, paired to celebrity Chef Tom Coliccio’s food at the Aspen Food and Wine Classic, and have been written into NY Times best-selling authors novel The Black Box by Michael Connelly. This in addition to critic scores in the 90’s and the support of the winery’s fans and customers have created a dream come true for Winemaker and Owner, Jason Moore.

Jason Moore – Owner, Winemaker
Jason Moore is a born and raised Dallas native who grew up in the fine dining restaurant scene of Dallas, which is where he found his interest and ultimate passion for wine. Jason moved to Napa in 2002 to pursue the dream and lofty aspiration of becoming a winemaker. Three months after moving to Davis, CA to study winemaking at UC Davis, Jason decided against the classic route of education in exchange for a more self-taught and hands on approach. Now, 10 years into his professional career, Jason has become known for extremely high end and somewhat experimental techniques and winemaking which lead to impressive and beautiful wines with true soul.
