Gonzalez Byass

Gonzalez Byass is a family business founded in 1835 by Manuel Maria Gonzalez Angel in Jerez (southwest Spain).  He was joined by his British agent, Robert Blake Byass in 1885.  In 1998, the Byass family withdrew from the business the company is currently run by a Board consisting of 4^th and 5^th generation family members.

 

The business began with sherry—the iconic Tio Pepe and expanded to its current offering of wines from Rioja, Somontano, Cava, Castilla la Mancha and Cadiz.  They also own 2 English gin brands, 2 Spanish brandies, a Scottish “Outland Whisky” and a Spanish Anise.
