Gemstone’s 16-acre Estate Vineyard is situated on a gentle, west facing slope in the Yountville appellation of Napa. For over two decades, Gemstone has cultivated rare, heirloom clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Chardonnay with the the exceptional talent of Napa’s top winemakers, Paul Hobbs, Phillippe Melka and Thomas Rivers Brown. Since it's inception, Gemstone has been a family owned vineyard that produces a small production of Cabernet Sauvignon, a Bordeaux style Estate Red Wine and a Chardonnay. Gemstone produces less than 2,000 cases per vintage.

Owners:

Michael and Carole Marks, proprietors of Gemstone Vineyard and longtime residents of Northern California, started spending time up in Napa over a decade ago. With a busy career in technology, and two grown children running their own businesses, the entrepreneurial spirit running through the family and their shared love of wine paved the path for the family to purchase of Gemstone Vineyard in 2007. Amy Dornbusch, daughter of the proprietors serves as President of Gemstone.
